The following sections include explanations and examples of the usage and implementation of the StreamSets Platform SDK for Python. They specifically pertain to the use of the SDK for environments, deployments, engines and connections.

Starting with version 7.0.1, engine type references have been standardized. See usage/engine_types:A Note on Engine Types for important information about using engine types consistently across the SDK.
